Understanding basic boot terminology
SOLE: The inner sole is where your foot rests when wearing the boot. The outer sole is the bottom of the boot.
HEEL: Heels are usually leather, formed and glued together, fitted and shaped to the back portion of the outer sole. Heels come in different shapes, sizes, and heights, depending on the intended use of the boot.
TOE: The toe of the boot may come in many different shapes; some of the most popular are R, snip, square, and roper.
VAMP: The front lower part of the boot below the shaft, usually cut from a single piece of leather or skin. However, vamps are sometimes pieced and sewn together to give the boot a unique look.
COUNTER: The back part of the boot, just above the heel, usually matches the leather or skin used in the vamp.
SHAFT: Sometimes referred to as the top, upper part, of the boot or the boot-maker´s canvas for expression. The shaft usually has different types of stitching patterns, designs, laser cuts, inlays, or other artwork, to make the boot unique. The shaft may also include laser cut designs, with or without exotic skin, leather, or other inlays underneath.
PIPING: The side seam that runs up the side of the boot from the bottom to the top, between the front and back section, of the shaft. Piping is usually found on the inside and outside of the shaft but may be used in other areas to add unique design appearance.
PULL STRAPS: Leather tabs or straps found at the very top of the shaft on both sides, usually on the outside of the shaft. However, on some boots, the pull straps may be found on the inside of the shaft. They are used to help pull the boot on. Some pull straps called “mule ears” may go partially or all the way down the outside of the shaft.
LINING: Found on the inside of the shaft. The lining covers the seam where the front and back half of the shaft is sewn together. All Corral Boots come with a full inside lining which covers the inside seam, adding to the boot´s comfort.
I bought them for my grand daughter for Christmas but had to exchange them for a different size. Customer service was extraordinary! The boots are gorgeous! Great workmanship. Thank you for such a great exchange!
Corral boots are simply the best boots I have ever worn. They are timeless in style and beauty as well. This is my 5th pair of corral boots, and they did not disappoint! The design was cute with just enough sparkle to catch the eye of many complimenters. I will never own another brand of boots!
I love the sparkle all through the design. Boots fit perfect out of the box. There's no break-in time needed.
Omg these boots are so cute! When I first tried them on I was curious to see how they would look with an outfit because the shaft seems like it’s crafted for a wide calf, but that all went out the window when I put them on with several outfits! They looked perfect with literally everything I wore.
I wore them all day with no complaints which is surprising because this is my very first pair of cowboy boots and I’ve tried other pairs on that were soo tight and turned me off from the idea of getting a pair for a while! These made me glad that I have the idea another shot!
I got soo many compliments on them and I’m just so glad I got these. Favorite purchase in a while!
New Leather Smell (had to turn the fan out to help me hide the evidence lol):
They had a very strong leather smell as soon as I got them out of the box which made these pretty hard to hide from my hubby lol I was a little nervous to tell him how much I paid for them. But he gave me great compliments on them and didn’t even ask the price so no problem lol.
I enjoyed them so much in real life that I didn’t think about getting pics but trust me THEY CUTE just get ‘em lol.
Ordered for my daughter's wedding. They fit perfectly will match my mother of the bride dress.
Love the wings /cross as we lost her Dad 11 years ago and these boots just spoke to me
I've looked for years to find the perfect combination of craft, comfort, and beauty in a western boot.
